Coastal Real Estate In California

Carmel's beauty and tranquility have always drawn poets and artists, and that is apparent today with the abundance of world famous art galleries. The one square mile European style village includes some of the best restaurants and shopping in California. In the 1920’s Carmel became a popular spot for vacation homes, so you will see a diverse array of architecture ranging from quaint cottages nestled among the pine forest to larger and more modern homes with ocean views.
In Monterey you will find Cannery Row made famous by John Steinbeck who lived in Salinas, Fisherman's Wharf, the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Monterey Jazz Festival, the oldest in the world. Not far away is the Laguna Seca race course which is considered to be the number one road course in the world. Nearby is the 17 Mile Drive and one of the most famous golf courses in the world, Pebble Beach.
The largest marine sanctuary in the United States extends from the Farallone Islands near San Francisco south to San Simeon. The south center part of the Monterey Bay is where the Submarine Canyon, comparable in size and shape to the Grand Canyon begins, extending over 50 miles offshore, reaching depths near 12,000 feet.
Near Watsonville the rich fertile soils of the Pajaro River Valley provide the world’s largest agricultural centers famous for its strawberries, apples, cut flowers and ethnic diversity.
Santa Cruz has pristine beaches, ancient redwood forests, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park, an historic downtown, University of California and more than 300 sunny days per year.
Half Moon Bay is well known for its yearly 2-day Art and Pumpkin Festival in October which attracts hundreds of thousands of people from northern California. In the area is a golf course, a yacht club, spas and more.
With green hills to the east, the ocean to the west and a 5-minute drive to San Francisco, Pacifica offers both a peaceful, natural environment and proximity to west bay cities. It has a reputation for collecting all of the fog for itself. The yearly Fog Festival in September, a venue for local craftspeople, artists, musicians and vendors, draws visitors from all over the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
San Francisco is located at the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula. Spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, the Marin Headlands, San Francisco Bay and the East Bay hills can all be found in this breathtaking city. One of its many parks is Golden Gate Park, which stretches for more than 50 blocks. Probably most well known for its Golden Gate Bridge and cable cars, it has very diverse architecture and a special feeling found only here.
